Toys for Big Boys have supported the NB offroad community since they were founded in 1968 by Fred Northrup. Fred grew the company with core values of honesty and integrity in business that have laid the foundation for what has become one of the most successful business enterprises in the Greater Moncton Area. Larry Northrup, son of Fred, became president of Toys for Big Boys in 2006. Larry and Toys for Big Boys have been long time supporters of the NBDRA stepping up at times of need to supply the NBDRA with equipment and supplies to help make our Hare Scramble series a success. Toys for Big Boys offers the newest Harley-Davidson®, Honda, Honda Marine, Honda Power, Husqvarna, and KTM models. Their location is complete with service, parts, and sales departments. They are very much involved in the off-road riding community through the Riverglade MX park where they have weekly practices, motocross schools, and host Atlantic motocross races, a round of the Rockstar Energy Motocross Nationals and NBDRA’s final hare scramble event of the season.

Intermediate Class Updates: The Intermediate class has been broken down into two categories, namely Intermediate “A” and Intermediate “B”. Intermediate “A” will remain consistent with the former class. This is a full course race including obstacles and challenges. The duration is also increased to 2 hours. The Intermediate B class is designed for racers that have exceeded the expectations of the Junior class and are ready for a bigger challenge. Intermediate “B” is a full course race including obstacles and challenges. However, alternative routes will be available to bypass more challenging obstacles. The race duration is 1.5 hours. Please note that Intermediate B is not a prerequisite to compete in Intermediate A. This change also allows to keep the Junior class more competitive for Novice and newer racers.
Start Procedure: The race start will now require to have both hands on the helmet. This is an update to the single hand on the helmet. The purpose is to ensure that every racer has the same advantages during the start regardless of the type of motorcycle they ride.
